Welcome to the Center for Student Success (CSS) at USD. CSS offers programs, services, and experiences designed to promote student success in and out of the classroom. In partnership with the Associate Dean for Advising and Curriculum in the College of Arts & Sciences, the CSS provides leadership and direction for the university-wide First Year Experience (FYE) and Second Year Experience (SYE) initiatives.

Professional staff and peer advisors in the CSS are available to meet with any undergraduate student experiencing challenges at USD that impact academic performance and persistence. The office is also the home of the Lead@USD and FRESH@USD programs, and provides support to incoming commuter students (first-time freshman and transfer).
