Tutor/Mentor

What:

The USD Upward Bound Program provides academic instruction, group and individual tutoring, counseling, and mentoring to 75 eligible students from Kearny High Educational Complex High School who are low-income, first generation college bound high school students. Tutors will provide assistance in English, History, Foreign Language, Math and/or Science subject areas. Tutoring service is needed throughout the academic year (September - May).

Where:

Tutoring services will be provided at Kearny High Educational Complex High School from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and also at the Upward Bound office (BA 301) from 5:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.

Who:

Current students enrolled at the University of San Diego who have been awarded Federal Work Study may apply for a Tutor/Mentor position.

How:

If you are interested in becoming a Tutor/Mentor for Upward Bound please download the application and return to Barcelona Building Suite 301 (adjacent to the mission federal credit union bank).
