Applications will be available October 1, 2014

Join University Ministry over intersession for a 12-day immersion experience as we live among and learn from the people of El Salvador.

Both undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply.  If selected, you will join a small group of students in prayer and preparation during the fall semester, gathering regularly to enter into the realities of El Salvador.

During our time in El Salvador, we partner with the Salvadoran organization CRISPAZ, Christians for Peace in El Salvador, to learn about Salvadoran culture and history through personal stories and encounters with community members. We spend part of our time in the capital city of San Salvador at a modest guest house. We also spend 5 days with host families in the rural village of Guarjila, where we live in simplicity and solidarity.

This is an opportunity for transformation through spiritual reflection on faith, justice, and compassion.  People of all faith traditions are welcome.  Upon our return to USD, we continue to engage in questions of social justice as we strive to put our learning into action.
