General Information for All Presenters

The Undergraduate Research Conference is a professional event. Presenters should look and dress professionally. During your assigned session you will be standing by your poster, art or interactive exhibit for one hour. Comfortable shoes are advised.

Presenters are assigned to the First Session at 12:15-1:15 p.m. or the Second Session at 1:15-2:15 p.m. You will be notified of your presentation time and location by April 15 or you can view the online conference program after April 15 on the Undergraduate Research Conference website.

You are expected to be at your exhibit for the duration of your presentation time. We encourage you to attend the other presentation sessions to view the research and creative work of your fellow students. Presenters should be prepared to discuss their project and to answer questions during their assigned time.

DAY OF CONFERENCE INSTRUCTIONS

Please read the instructions below and the section relevant to your session format.

All Presenters

Conference registration takes place in the UC Lobby. Please check in at the registration table 20 minutes before your session to pick up your name badge and conference program.

Poster Presentations

• All posters must be attached to the assigned presentation board between 10 a.m. -12 p.m. on April 18 before the start of the conference. If you cannot come at that time, please arrange to have a co-presenter or friend do it for you. Push-pins will be on the presentation boards to attach the posters.
• You will be assigned a presentation time:
  First Session 12:15-1:15 p.m. will be all posters with odd numbers.
  Second Session 1:15-2:15 p.m. will be all posters with even numbers.
• All posters are left up until the conclusion of the conference at 2:15. Posters that are not taken down by 3 p.m. may be recycled.

Visual Arts Exhibition

• All visual arts presentations must be on display in the University Center Exhibit Hall by 12 p.m. on April 18.
• You will be assigned a presentation time:
  First Session 12:15-1:15 p.m. or Second Session 1:15-2:15 p.m.
• The Visual Arts Exhibition will be on display in the UC Exhibit Hall from April 18-30.

Interactive Exhibits

• You will be assigned a presentation time and a location in the UC:
  First Session 12:15-1:15 p.m. or Second Session 1:15-2:15 p.m.
• If you are assigned to the First Session 12:15-1:15 p.m., you must have all your materials set up by 12:15 p.m. You must be ready to take down your materials promptly at 1:15.
• If you are assigned to the Second Session 1:15-2:15 p.m., you must be prepared to set up your materials promptly at 1:15 and to remove your materials at 2:15 p.m.
