There are many ways that USD undergraduates can get involved in research and creative activities. The Office of Undergraduate Research offers summer research grants to students who want to conduct a 10-week project under the supervision of a USD faculty mentor. Please see the SURE page for more information about when and how to apply.
There are also many opportunities to engage in a summer research project at an off-campus site. Please check the Off-Campus Opportunities page for a list of universities, government labs, and other facilities that provide research internships and experiences for undergraduate students.
If you have conducted a research or scholarly project while at USD, why not present your work at a conference? Check out the list of Undergraduate Conferences, and don't forget to apply for a travel grant to help pay the costs of attending!
