Workshops:

Research-related workshops hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Research and campus allies are available to USD students, staff and faculty throughout the year. These workshops provide attendees information about research, how to get started, how to make the most of it and how to advance into research-based academics and careers.

All workshops are first-come, first-serve and are subject to cancellation if there is no interest. Therefore, please be sure to RSVP for a Workshop to let us know that you plan on attending!

Departmental Research Courses

Students conducting research during the academic year and summer can enroll in departmental research units.  While the Office of Undergraduate Research provides information about the courses, specifics and enrolling are at the discretion of the individual departments. Please discuss departmental research units with your advisor.

Undergraduate Research 496 (UGRS 496) is a 0.5 unit, non-weight-bearing, repeatable course for students conducting research in the summer as part of an academic research programs.  Students accepted into the programs will be enrolled in the course by the Office of Undergraduate Research.  More information can be found on the Research Scholar's webpage.
