Academic conferences offer students the opportunity to present their research to their peers and faculty members, and to receive valuable feedback through discussion of methodology and findings. Conferences also facilitates networking among peers, and the opportunity learn about other research, as well as gain important experience that can be highlighted in resumes or graduate school applications.
All USD undergraduates are invited to present their research, scholarly activities and creative works on-campus at the 26th Annual Creative Collaborations-Undergraduate Research Conference on April 14, 2016. Abstract submissions will be accepted beginning in January 2016.
There are also many opportunities for students to present their work off-campus. Students who have been accepted to present at a conference or would like to attend one that will enhance their academic and professional careers can can submit a request for a travel award to help defray the costs.
