Sarah Kriz

Director

Sarah Kriz, Ph.D. is an interdisciplinary scholar whose research interests center around learning in formal and informal environments. She earned her Ph.D. in cognitive psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and has conducted research on multimedia learning, the role of graphics in nanotechnology graduate education, and how science fiction films influence people's understanding and expectations of robots. Prior to joining the USD community, she was an assistant professor in the College of Engineering at the University of Washington. As the Director of the Office of Undergraduate Research, Dr. Kriz strives to provide training, opportunities, and services for USD faculty and undergraduate students engaged in research and creative activities.
