Political borders are zones of tacit or active conflict, yet ecological approaches can be a means of fostering cooperation in such zones. “Greening Borders" is a working conference that brings together public, private and civil stakeholders from the United States and Mexico to consider cooperative strategies for trans-border environmental conservation. The conference provides a new forum for trans-border dialogue and participation to build on cutting-edge domestic work already underway, to learn from international cases, and to further advance cross-border cooperation on environmentally sustainable policies and projects.
