Prerequisites: FINA 300 and (ECON 216 or ECON 217) and (MATH 130 or MATH 150 or MATH 151) This course will cover the financial planning, taxation and regulatory aspects of an individual’s lifelong saving, borrowing and investment decisions. The course will educate persons in making informed financial choices over their working careers. The topics include – credit management, credit scores, tax planning, consumer loans, home purchase and mortgage financing, property, life and health insurance, mutual funds, stock and bond investing, IRAs, 401k plans, retirement and estate planning. Note: Course will be canceled if there are fewer than eight (8) paid students enrolled as of Monday, June 25.
