Establishes a firm foundation for music theory, including Western music notation, rhythm, scales and transpositions, intervals and inversions, chords, tonal harmony, and their practical application in singing and keyboard playing. This course fulfills a core curriculum requirement and may be taken to fulfill a major or minor requirement. Note: Course will be canceled if there are fewer than six (6) paid students enrolled as of Friday, December 15.
