Studying abroad changed your life! But, before you went abroad do you remember how many questions you had about the study abroad experience? Where should I study abroad? What should I pack? What is life like abroad?
The USD Office of International Studies Abroad has established a Peer Advisor program to help answer these types of questions and more from current students who are in the process of studying abroad.
The USD Study Abroad Peer Advisors hold several informational sessions each month centered around various topics including: Financing Your Time Abroad, Understanding the Student Visa Application Process, You're In! What's Next?, Recommendations for When You Are Abroad, and Before You Go Abroad Checklist.
Study Abroad Peer Advisors also participate in events to promote study abroad around campus such as the Study Abroad Fair, Family & Homecoming Weekend as well as the Fall and Spring Admission Open Houses.
If you want to share your study abroad experience with current students who are thinking about studying abroad, consider becomming a study abroad peer advisor. For more information about the application process, contact Cindy Cordova.
