By providing financial assistance, Mexico hopes that these recipients will utilize their education to empower and uplift the Mexican population in the United States.
To qualify for an IME-Beca grant, a USD SSS student must meet each of the following criteria:
- Mexican descent (self, parent, or grandparent born in Mexico)
- Minimum GPA 3.0

All IME Becarios should be committed to participate in an activity related to their Mexican heritage. This year, IME Becarios went on a day trip to Tijuana, Mexico. Click here to learn about the IME Becas Tijuana Day trip.
