Miriam Adam

Miriam Adam

My name is Miriam Adam and I am from San Diego. I plan to major in either Behavioral Neuroscience or Biology. Some of my extracurricular activities include the African Student Union on campus and being the Youth Coordinator for the United Women of East Africa Support Team in City Heights. I am tremendously satisfied in being a Student Representative for a program like Student Support Services. I am happy to know that I am assisting Academic Coordinators who are aiding other students obtain secondary education.

Susan Cruz

Hello! My name is Susan Cruz and I grew up in San Diego. I am currently a Sophomore and plan to major in Business Administration with a minor in Theology & English. As a commuter student, I thought it was going to be a struggle feeling part of the USD community. However once I started working for Student Support Services, I became really close to other Student Representatives and Academic Coordinators. SSS  is like a second home! It is also one of the main reasons why I feel like I belong at USD.

Michelle Johnson

My name is Michelle Johnson, and I was born and raised in San Diego. I am currently a senior and am majoring in Sociology and a minoring in Psychology. I am a transfer student from San Diego City College. Being a transfer student has had its own set of unique challenges. However, SSS has provided me the support system needed to graduate. At SSS you will find a home, a shoulder to lean on, a friendly face, and most importantly, your support system. Being able to work as a student representative has given me a fresh perspective on the college experience.

Diana Ramirez Sanchez

My name is Diana Ramirez Sanchez and I am from Hanford, CA but I grew up in Mexico until I was eight years old. I am majoring in Accountancy and am also Co-Chair of MEChA. Working in SSS is really fun because I have the opportunity to meet the majority of the students in our program. I also enjoy working in SSS because the Academic Coordinators and Director are very helpful. However, my personal favorite time is when we have "story time" in Ryan's office. The students and I have the chance to get to know each other at a deeper level.

Diana Villa Galindo

I am from sunny San Diego! I am currently a sophomore majoring in Engineering. Overall, my position in SSS doesn't feel like a regular college job because I love what I do.

Amanda Salazar

Hello, my name is Amanda Salazar and I am a transfer student majoring in Business Administration. After participating in Summer Bridge, I decided to become a Student Representative for SSS because I wanted to work in a welcoming environment. As a Student Representative, I now want to help other incoming students build their own communities on campus.
