Assess Programs Expressing Our Catholic Character

Objective

Examine programs that express and develop USD’s Catholic character, identifying interrelationships as well as gaps in services provided.

Catholic Expressions Task Force

Catholic Expressions Task Force co-chaired by assistant vice presidents from Student Affairs and University Ministry is defining a matrix of values that characterize USD's Catholic identity, and the actions and activities that express those values in different ways. Task force representatives will interview members of departments and programs where those actions and activities occur to determine how the values are manifest.

Progress
Fall 2012: The task force outlined a matrix of values and actions/activities expressing them.

December 2012: Organizational meeting of task force.

Timeline
January 2013: Identify additional values and actions/activities expressing them; design a survey to assess these in the university.
Spring 2013: Complete a working draft matrix of values and actions/activities; conduct the first interviews.
Spring 2013:

Formulate a survey and distribute it to identified groups; compile results.
