The Nonprofit Institute
Educating Leaders. Building Community. Engaging Philanthropy. Advancing Solutions.
Founded in 2002, the Nonprofit Institute (NPI) provides education, training and research to strengthen organizations that help meet community needs. San Diegans from all walks of life are proud of our inclusive, innovative, and flourishing community and are committed to preserving our quality of life. Yet gaps in knowledge, training, connections and resources among community leaders and organizations exist.
Founded in 2002, The Nonprofit Institute provides education, training and research to strengthen organizations that help meet community needs. Together, we can lead the way to protect our quality of life and continue to promote thriving communities by educating and engaging leaders, creating smart connections, engaging philanthropy and providing diverse perspectives and innovative solutions to our region for all future generations.
We provide hands on assistance to nonprofits, philanthropy and other partners through community education and consulting.
We develop the next generation of leaders dedicated to making a positive difference in their communities through our applied learning and leadership programs.
The Educational Leadership Development Academy (ELDA) is a collaboration with local school districts designed to produce and build a pool of high quality principals and instructional leaders that can successfully lead the improvement of instruction in their schools.
The Global Center supports the School of Leadership and Education Sciences's mission and promise to prepare students with the professional knowledge, skills, and ethical perspectives they will need for effective leadership and practice in a diverse society.
We drive innovation and solutions through research, forums and roundtables.
