IEE is Hiring a Director of Research and Evaluation

The Institute for Entrepreneurship in Education (IEE) is hiring a Director of Research and Evaluation. IEE, a non-profit, university-based research center at the School of Leadership and Education Sciences at the University of San Diego, Merges research and practice to (re)design learning to close opportunity gaps in a changing world through our Innovative Teaching & Learning and World of Work initiatives.


Committed to addressing a diverse range of educational and societal issues by discovering and developing innovative models and solutions, IEE seeks to inform practice through rigorous research and evaluation. The Director of Research and Evaluation (DRE) has both internal and external facing responsibilities, ranging from research team leadership to strategic partnerships and outreach to thought leadership in K-12 education. The DRE will help to increase the Institute’s impact and visibility through an integrated approach to research, policy, and practice. This position requires the DRE to engage both individually and collectively with research associates in research design and execution, publish in peer-reviewed and state-of-the-field publications, attend and present at conferences, and cultivate relationships with peer research institutions. The DRE will work closely with other Institute team members to build a research and practice agenda, attract and secure research funding, and cross market the Institute’s shared services.
