School Counseling Fieldwork Seminar

counseling students

The fieldwork internship is the culminating field experience of the counseling program. It is designed to provide the student with an on-site placement in a public or private school setting that will create the necessary bridge between training and professionalism. During the seminar, students will have the opportunity to participate in a cultural immersion experience in Kenya, East Africa, that is integrated into this semester long clinical experience course. The global trip includes a two-day visit in Nairobi and a twelve-day experience integrating theory and practice at Daraja Academy (A SOLES Global Partnership school).
