Israel/Palestine LEAD 579i
Pilgrimage as Archetype and Source of Wisdom for Leadership, Change and Transformation
In this course students learn about and experience the phenomenon of pilgrimage by embarking on a 10-day study tour to Israel/Palestine that will combine lectures, readings, time for reflection and rich on-site learning experiences. In this course, students will both engage in the practice of becoming a pilgrim as a model and also as a metaphor for negotiating both continuity and the dynamics of change that define our world and impact attempts to exercise leadership. While those of all faiths are welcome to participate and a number of sites revered by Jews and Muslims will be included, the primary focus of travel will be on Christian biblical and archeological sites.
