TitleSpecial Topics: Women in Higher Education Leadership

The purpose of this course is to provide graduate students with an opportunity to receive three graduate credits in the Leadership Studies program for participating in and/or attending conferences, institutes, or other events related to their growth as scholar-professionals. Students enrolling in the special topics course(s) will be responsible for attending all conference events and completing the assignment as noted below.

The focus of LEAD 581 is the WHELS (Women in Higher Education Leadership Summit), a three-and-a-half day leadership conference hosted at USD. Students must attend all summit activities and complete the assigned reflective essay by the deadline mutually established between professor and student(s). This course is open to both male and female students.
