This course researches teacher-student interaction which facilitate growth of functional independence and individual exploration, as well as interactions that would hinder individual and social development. There is a focus on planning techniques, general classroom management, favorable learning environments, and interpersonal
relationships. Methods of guidance without interference, fostering self-help, and eliminating unnecessary aid to the child are primary goals for the course.
