This course will provide an introduction to the language and concepts of marketing and professional selling useful to leadership consultants. This course will assist the students in gaining an understanding of the basics and drivers of value and performance from the perspective of the consultant or leadership development professional. It will examine mechanisms that influence prospects to buy, and customers to buy repeatedly by way of a diverse array of targeted promotional efforts. Students will identify the primary critical themes of concern to consultants as they seek to build their practices. Course materials will focus on the study and analysis of contemporary topics in marketing and open market economics, international considerations, resource allocation, and commitment that are relevant to the leadership consultant. The course will be conducted from both a theoretical and practical perspective.
