The course examines a wide range of topics important to understanding family functioning such as: the family life cycle, family stress theory, family violence, mate selection, divorce, diversity in family types, cross-cultural comparisons of families, religion and families, children and families, and socioeconomic factors. The course emphasizes the clinical application of the concepts. |
