Description

Advocate Educator: Provides direct casework to former foster youth and support with daily operations and outreach for the Transitional Housing Program.

Graduate of an accredited university with a Masters Degree and at least 3 years experience working with transition-age youth or 3 years working with foster youth in another capacity. Strong understanding of adolescent development and San Diego County private/public social service agencies required. Experience in a non-profit organization, with government contracts.

Strong time-management/ organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication, and interviewing skills. Proficiency in MS Office, email and use of internet.

Tuesday – Saturday, $20hr

Visitation Monitors: Provides education, support, behavioral intervention and transportation with children and families involved in the Supervised Visitation Program. Promotes the needs of the child and family while supporting the physical safety and well-being of children 0-17 years that are in the reunification process through the Courts and San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency, Children’s Services.

Experience in child and family social services and/or a BA in human science field preferred. Must possess maturity, good judgment and the ability to work independently. Must be a positive role model for children 0-17 and their families. Must exhibit conflict resolution and prevention skills. Must be professional with the ability to effectively set limits and function in a crisis-oriented situation. Part time hours available Sun-Sat must have flexible schedule/availability, $12-12.50hr

On Call Child Care Workers: Provides for the protection, physical safety and well-being of children (6-18 years) in a residential setting, supervises planned group and/or individual structured activities according to a daily schedule. During Day Treatment/Rehabilitation hours, CCW’s at the Children’s Shelter will work as Rehabilitation Staff under the direction of a licensed or waivered therapist/staff member in delivering all services in the Day Treatment schedule, except for psychotherapy. Will commit to a minimum of two designated days each week where you will be available to work if contacted by Casa. Experience in residential treatment and /or a BA in human science field required.

Staff Accountant: Under the direction of the Controller, this position is responsible for maintaining Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and preparing monthly contract billings as well as assisting the controller with the preparation of the monthly financial statements and annual budget. This position will also process all of the billing functions for the EPSDT clinical services program, and assure contract compliance on all Government contracts and grants. This position provides a linkage between the accounting department and service documentation requirements (reportable/billable) carried out by program staff.

Minimum of two years working experience in Accounting department, proficient accounting skills, computer knowledge in MS Office Software and the ability to learn Casa’s accounting software. Accounting degree desirable. Experience working with billing systems, knowledge of Anasazi database software and familiarity with Short-Doyle/MediCal service delivery systems and non-profit accounting is preferred. Position requires strong organizational skills; ability to communicate effectively with others through solid interpersonal skills. Experience in non-profit, social service is preferable. A basic understanding of how the reporting requirements interface with the accounting reports and documentation. Monday – Friday, $40k-45k doe

Accounting/HR Assistant: Maintains an organized business office and provides accurate and timely administrative support to the Accounting, HR, Development and Residential Services departments as assigned.

Minimum of two years in an accounting and/or hr setting with varied responsibilities. Proficient with MS Word and Excel; typing - 65 wpm; well organized, detail and “big picture” oriented; strong telephone and interpersonal communication skills; and ability to multi task. Proactive with problem solving abilities. Strong writing, grammar, and editing ability. Positive relation to the public. Flexible and able to respond to multiple demands. Monday – Friday, $14.50-16hr doe

Grant Writer: The responsibility of this position is to research, organize, write and submit grant proposals for corporate, foundation and government grants.

This position requires a Bachelors Degree or equivalent (preferably in Public Relations, English or Journalism). Previous grant writing experience required; government grant experience desirable. Impeccable writing skills and a proven success in grant research, proposal writing and preparation. Ideal candidate will have diplomacy and very strong organizational skills. Candidate also must have excellent oral presentation skills. Philanthropy-related experience/education preferred. Strong computer skills including knowledge of MS Publisher, Adobe PageMaker, Excel, Word and knowledge of donor database systems is highly preferred. Must have strong research abilities.
