Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (Open Rank)- Educational Administration/Leadership

The Department of Leadership and Professional Studies, College of Education at FIU invites applications for a nine-month, full-time, tenure track position in Educational Administration/Leadership beginning August 2013.

??Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Educational Administration/Leadership or related field; evidence of excellence in graduate-level teaching, advising, and doctoral dissertation supervision; a sustained record of, or potential for, research and publication; success in, or potential for, securing extramural funding; program leadership experience (at the associate or full rank); at least three years of experience as a principal or district-level administrator in K-12 public schools; experience with on-line course development and teaching; and an orientation toward community outreach. Applicant qualifications will be considered with regard to the academic rank for which the applicant applies. ??Responsibilities: Graduate student advisement; doctoral dissertation supervision; and graduate-level teaching in at least two of the following areas: school law, school finance, school personnel administration, and administrative applications of technology.

Other responsibilities include sustaining an active research and publication agenda; securing extramural funding for research and development; expanding community partnerships; and professional service.

??The Educational Administration/Leadership Program offers the Master of Science, Educational Specialist, and Doctor of Education degree programs.
