Assistant Superintendent for Academics Erie, Pennsylvania

The School District of the City of Erie, an urban school system serving 12,300 students in northwestern Pennsylvania, is seeking a dynamic, motivated Assistant Superintendent to advance the district's comprehensive Pre-K-12 academic program. The ideal candidate will possess a proven record of achievement in school leadership and Pre-K-12 curriculum, instruction and assessment. The successful candidate will serve as a visionary educational leader to align the district's educational programs to the Common Core State Standards and increase student achievement and instructional practices. Minimum qualifications include a graduate degree in curriculum and instruction or educational administration; doctoral degree preferred. Significant building-level and central office experience required. Must possess or qualify for certification as a Superintendent in Pennsylvania.
