Job Purpose: The Data Manager, under the supervision of the Project Manager, is responsible for providing services to CVPN’s clients and the community. Services will be in keeping with CVPN goals, mission, style and theory of change, provided within a collective framework congruent with the community we serve. The Data Manager is responsible for working within the team in developing team goals and objectives, and in meeting those goals and objectives. Principally, the Data Manager maintains, analyses and audits data provided by all partners and appropriate channels for ensuring that program goals are being met, appropriate modifications are programmatically being made if goals are not being met and new initiatives or programs are being created based upon demonstrated need indicated within the data. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Responsible for the creation, updating, maintenance and validation of databases and for the provision of computerized reports of these data;Key member of the management team who should be able to prioritize work in line with management decisions;Responsible for the maintenance and processing of files and documents with integrity and security;Assist in standardizing data management procedures such as documentation for departmental operating procedures;Develop and maintain documentation and data management guidelines;Assist in the development and implementation of strategy for data cleaning and in the design and programming of databases;Query data inconsistencies and revise case report forms in compliance with standard operating procedures, client guidelines and regulatory agency guidelines;Run monthly and quarterly partner reports through internal data system(s) include the Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) program to ensure that data-driven decisions are reviewed in order to monitor that partners’ performance is alignment with demonstrating the outcomes projected;Generate data retrievals and summaries; andPerforms other duties as assigned and required by the Project Manager. Qualifications: Required BA/BS statistical degree, which can vary from a bachelor’s to a master’s degree depending on level of experience. Any experience with ETO software and/or data maintenance, scrubbing, reporting software is preferred. An affinity with working with databases is required. Ability to work unsupervised taking responsibility for own actions. Candidate must work precisely according to procedures, rules and regulation with the ability to recognize recurring issues, analyze their causes and reach a solution.
