The Associate Professor of Human Services (HS) will be primarily responsible for teaching in the undergraduate HS program, mentoring students, assisting in the growth and accreditation of the program, and serving on committees within the department and across the university. In addition, the Associate Professor will maintain a strong research agenda, mentor junior faculty, and demonstrate evidence of professional leadership at local, regional, and/or national levels.
The Associate Professor will have a nine month tenure-track position, maintain a 3/4 teaching load and report to the Department Chair. Candidates must provide evidence of: a) substantial human service practice experience; b) leadership in program development and accreditation process; c) effective teamwork; d) an extensive research agenda, a record of external grant funding, and/or personal record of scholarship; e) strong teaching performance; and f) teaching and working with culturally and ethnically diverse populations, particularly immigrant Hispanic and Asian communities.
Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications): The minimum qualifications for the position include, a PhD. in Human Services or related field and a comprehensive record of professional accomplishments in scholarship, teaching, leadership and service that are commensurate with rank.
