Clinical Supervisor-Psychologist Vista Balboa is a Short Term Acute Residential Treatment (START) facility operating as a community based, hospital alternative program for adult clients experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis and who are often dually diagnosed. We utilize Motivational Interviewing, DBT, CBT, and short term crisis stabilization techniques. The emphasis of treatment is on the bio-psycho-social rehabilitation of the individual. Respect for the client is a core value, and our staff work closely with all of our clients to develop individualized service plans that focus on their strengths, needs, and abilities.
General Description The Clinical Supervisor-Psychologist is responsible for providing individual and group supervision of interns and practicum students according to Professional Board requirements (i.e. Board of Psychology, Board of Behavioral Sciences), educational institution contracts and requirements, participating in utilization management, reviews and co-signs clinical records, and available on-call for clinical consultation.
Qualifications/Skills Requirements The candidate must have a Doctoral Degree in Psychology (PhD/PsyD) and is a licensed Clinical Psychologist. Experience working with the SMI population with adults/older adults. Supervisory experience is preferred. Basic computer skills are required.
