The Opportunity

Our first kindergartners began their journey as lifelong learners when we opened our elementary schools in 2012. As a Kindergarten or 1st grade teacher at HVA Elementary, you (with a brilliant and dedicated co-teacher) will create your dream classroom: a place of academic depth, a caring atmosphere that nurtures each child’s potential. Qualifications

Minimum two years full-time classroom teaching experience, preferably at the lower elementary level in an urban setting. Four or more years of teaching experience strongly preferred.Outstanding instructional skills, including the ability to motivate and challenge studentsVery strong demonstrated results in elementary literacy instructionDemonstrated ability to create and maintain a warm, strict, orderly environmentA strong sense of personal accountability for student achievementUnshakeable conviction that all students can learn at a high level
