The Opportunity

As a 5th grade writingteacher with Harlem Village Academies, you will lead your students to master rigorous academic standards, take ownership of their education and exemplify fine character. Qualifications

Minimum of two years full-time classroom teaching experience required; four or more years of teaching experience preferred.Outstanding instructional skills, including the ability to motivate and challenge studentsVery strong demonstrated track record of student achievement in your past teachingDemonstrated ability to create and maintain a warm, strict, orderly environmentA strong sense of personal accountability for student achievementUnshakeable conviction that all students can learn at a high levelDesire to work with folks who are super smart, and who take their work very seriously
