Betsey Gibbs is the Manger of Field Experiences and Co-Teaches the Student Teacher Seminar in the Department of Learning and Teaching. She earned a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Education from the University of Maryland, College Park. Betsey taught Elementary School in Maryland for 13 years and worked as a Principal for 18 years. Betsey also taught Teacher Education classes at the College of Notre Dame in Maryland for 7 years. Betsey joined USD and the School of Leadership and Education Sciences in 2002 and has supervised student teachers and worked with assessment.
