Carole A. Fish

Carole Fish has spent more than 25 years in the nonprofit sector. After receiving a Masters in Education at the University of San Diego, she began her career that has spanned several organizations - the American Cancer Society, Scripps Green Hospital, Scripps Memorial Hospital and Scripps Hospital in Chula Vista, Children’s Hospital and Health Center and Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation. She has also served as a development consultant for more than 19 years and is president of Fish +Lewis Consulting.

Fish specializes in nonprofit strengthening, strategic planning, fundraising planning, major and annual giving, feasibility studies, case for support, organizational branding, leadership development and nonprofit coaching. She is a speaker, author, trainer and instructor and most recently presented at the National Bar Foundations Conference 2008 in Los Angeles.

Fish serves on the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) San Diego Chapter Board She currently chairs the Senior Initiative for AFPSD and most recently co-chaired the AFP International Conference 2008 fundraising event held in San Diego. She chaired the AFP Development Conference 2005 that was honored with the Abel Hansen Award from AFP International. She also has served as the vice president of education and chaired Philanthropy Day. She was a member of the Golden Triangle Rotary for more than seven years while serving on its board of directors and is a Paul Harris Fellow and was an instructor with the UCSD Extended Studies Certificate in Fundraising and Development Program.
