Teresa VanHorn is the Director of the undergraduate Nonprofit Leadership and Management program.  Teresa is also the field experience director for the Department of Leadership Studies and the director of the Leadership Mentor program. She teaches the following courses: Nonprofit Leadership and Management; Nonprofit Seminar; and supervises USD Leadership and Nonprofit program interns working in the community. Ms. Van Horn brings nearly a decade nonprofit management experience to her position at USD and over thirty years of teaching experience. Ms. Van Horn has presented papers at International Leadership Association (ILA) conferences, the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA), and at the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance and American Humanics Director’s Association annual meetings.  She is a recipient of the 2014 R.J. McElroy Scholar Award from the University of Northern Iowa.  She was voted University of San Diego Senior Class SOLES Professor of the Year in 2008. Ms. VanHorn is also a two time recipient of the University of San Diego Mortar Board's Outstanding Faculty Award.
