Mary Scherr, Ph.D.,has current research interests in the role of the superintendent, leadership theories, women and spirituality, and qualitative methodologies. Her recent publications include: "The Story of Two Urban Superintendents: An Outsider and an" and "Through the Lens of Leadership Theory" in Chapman, C (Ed.), Becoming a Superintendent: The Challenge of School District Leadership; "And Empowering Students for Leadership," in Educational Considerations.
