Anne Donnellan, Ph.D., has had a long time interest in autism and related disorders and is a Professional Advisory Panel member of the Autism Society of America as well as the Autism National Committee and TASH. She is the author/editor of numerous books and articles including the Handbook of Autism, Progress without Punishment and Movement Differences and Diversity in Autism and Mental Retardation. Dr. Donnellan is emeritus profess of Education at the University of Wisconsin as well as professor and associate provost for Graduate Studies at USD. Her most recent emphasis in teaching and research has been increasing understanding of the role of movement differences in the lives of individuals with the label of autism.
