Leading Innovative Change In this presentation, George Couros will be discussing the work that has been done at Parkland School Division that has been to create a "culture of innovation" in education. By embracing an open culture, we have seen staff and students become digital leaders and improve opportunities for themselves and others. This work has been fundamental in helping to push our students to become learners in a "global community", while also developing leadership within our own community and beyond.
Speaker Bio George Couros is the Division Principal of Innovative Teaching and Learning for Parkland School Division in Alberta, Canada. He is a leader in the area of innovation, focusing on the development of distributed leadership and collaboration in constantly changing learning environments. His mix of research, personal stories, and practical ways to implement new learning encourages others to feel comfortable taking risks in their own learning.
