Purpose-Based Consulting Program

Program Overview

This program is designed to energize and equip participants to take up roles as
leaders and consultants in organizations in a world in transition.
As human beings, we are at a juncture that offers tremendous opportunities to
transform not just organizations, but also our vision for humanity and the way
we live. The recent global collapse of financial institutions demonstrates the
devastating consequences of abandoning purpose — or not having one to begin
with. Increasingly we are being forced to reassess personal and institutional
priorities, and in the process discovering a renewed desire to contribute to
strengthening the social, political, economic and spiritual fabric of the world.
Individuals and organizations thrive when choices are consciously aligned with
a larger, worthy, heartfelt purpose. The process required to clarify the deepest
values and aspirations that orient one’s life or to identify an organizational
purpose that truly stands for something entails a harrowing journey. Few
consultants are equipped to invite and accompany clients in that journey to
the very depths of the soul where the deepest longing, desires and wisdom lie.
Instead the journey is brought to a halt prematurely at a more comfortable level
where lofty mission, vision or values statements can be drafted — which, in
turn, easily get eclipsed by everyday tasks, demands and crises. A deeply rooted
purpose, on the other hand, becomes even more evident in the face of difficulty.

During these courses we will explore:
• Theoretical and practical frameworks central to the practice of purpose-based
consulting
• How to recognize and work with thematic interconnections among diverse
parts of a larger system
• Practices to enhance sensing, intuition and energetic awareness and in-depth
communication
• Ways of working with emergent processes in the context of clearly discerned
purpose and intention
• Entering into engagement with the Sacred
