Global Internship
Currently, the School of Leadership and Education Sciences has agreements with two sites for global internships.
Camp Adventure
If you are an undergraduate in one of the Teacher Education programs or a Masters student in Counseling, Leadership or Learning & Teaching program, you may want to consider completing your internship or practical experience requirement with Camp Adventure. The USD SOLES has an informal agreement with Camp Adventure Youth Service for internships with youth service. Interested undergraduate and graduate students should contact Walt Heinecke at (619) 459-7556 or by appointment (Camino Modular Offices, Rm 9) to discuss possibilities.
International School of Port of Spain (Trinidad)
In addition, Masters or Doctoral students with specializations or areas of interest in K-12 Counseling or Educational Administration can also arrange to complete an internship at ISPS. Those students should meet with their Faculty Advisor first and proceed from there according to the Internship instructions for that program. Please read the Global Education Handbook prior to applying to any Global Center program.
