Cognition and Learning

This course encompasses a cross-cultural approach for developing a deep understanding of human cognition and learning with an emphasis on implications for educators and educational researchers. You will visit Japanese schools, observe classes, and have a series of formal and informal dialogues with Japanese teachers and principals, faculty and students at Waseda University about Japanese education and its underlying cultural values and philosophy.
