Credential: Preliminary Administrative Services Credential
Time to Completion: 2 years
Units: 24 Graduate Units

Class Schedule

Classes meet in the evenings and occasionally on weekends. Each cohort moves through the program at a part-time pace to accommodate a typical work schedule, since program candidates are full-time working teachers.

This program enrolls approximately 15 new students each year.

Tuition for this program is discounted to $500 per unit.

What can I do with this credential?

Requirements for Admission

Standardized Testing Requirements

  • Applicants must pass the CBEST prior to admission to the program.

Education Requirements

  • Applicants must complete a bachelor’s degree and hold a Clear California Teaching or Services Credential prior to beginning the program.
  • Applicants must have earned a master’s degree or be willing to earn one during the course of the program. Applicants who do not possess a master’s must also apply to and be admitted to the M.A. in Leadership Studies to be eligible for this program. Learn more about this option.
  • The minimum cumulative Grade Point Average is 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) in all undergraduate and graduate coursework.

Experience Requirements

  • Applicants must have a minimum of three years of full-time teaching experience.

Interview Requirements

  • The most qualified applicants will be contacted for a classroom instructional observation and an interview.
