International Applicants
The University of San Diego welcomes applications from students all over the world. We have 235 international students currently enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs at the University. They represent over 60 countries. International students benefit from our small classes, high academic standards and our beautiful campus in San Diego, California.
International students are only eligible to apply for degree programs. In addition to degree program requirements, all international students must submit the following:
English Language Requirements
- Official results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
- The minimum score for the Internet-based TOEFL is 83.
Financial Documentation
- Certification of Finances Form for master's degree students
- Certification of Finances Form for doctoral students
Transcripts
All applicants are required to submit official records from each academic institution attended after secondary school. Transcripts issued directly in English by the academic institution are preferred. Otherwise, all transcripts that are not issued in English must be officially translated by an approved agency.
Transcript Evaluation Report
Applicants are required to have their foreign transcripts evaluated by an independent credential evaluation service. Applicants may contact The International Education Research Foundation, Inc. and request a Detail Report, or World Education Services and request a Course-by-Course Report.
