- The Diocesan of San Diego Employee Scholarship
This is an annually renewable grant for students who are full time employees of the Catholic Diocese of San Diego, including parish schools and agencies. The scholarship is based on unit enrollment and is subject to the amount of other academic scholarships. Applicants for the Diocesan of San Diego Employee Scholarship must: be a SOLES student in good standing; and, be an employee who works full-time for the Diocese of San Diego. Applications are due two weeks prior to the start of the term.

SOLES Graduate and Research Assistantships for Doctoral Students
- Eligibility: Applicants should be currently enrolled or newly admitted SOLES doctoral students in good standing, carrying a full course load (6 units per semester).
- Compensation:
- 9-month assistantship (equals approximately 760 hours worked)
- Salary - approximately $14,615
- Tuition Scholarship* - up to 12 units (to be used during the term of the contract)
- Benefits-Based employment, option to participate in USD employee group health insurance plan.
- 12 -month assistantship (equals approximately 1040 hours worked)
- Salary - approximately $20,000
- Tuition Scholarship* - up to 15 units (to be used during the term of the contract)
- Benefits-Based employment, option to participate in USD employee group health insurance plan.
*Please note that the scholarship funds are taxable, and that the funds do not provide for the cost of books nor fees. Some positions may offer more or less tuition.
