When did you begin your program, and when do you anticipate completing it?

I began my program at USD in the fall of 2015 and will be finished by May 2018.

What do you hope to do with your degree and/or credential, and why?

After graduation I would love to work at a local state hospital as an LPCC for a couple of years, then return to school for my PhD in Depth Psychology.

What is your background? For example, where are you from, where else have you earned a degree, and where have you worked?

I am a southern California native, completed my B.A. at California State University of Monterey Bay, where I volunteered at Beacon House, a drug and rehab facility located in the heart of Pacific Grove.

Tell us about any research or independent study you have done at SOLES.

My first academic year at USD I worked with Dr. Johnson on a few research projects, in which we later presented our findings at research conferences throughout the year. Some of these looked at: Women of Color on Death Row in Prisons, Looking at the Forensic Psychological Mindset of a Terrorist, and Integrating Evidence- Based and Culturally Responsive Mental Health Services for Policing Diverse Communities.
