The SLIC oversees the areas of student activities, leadership development, student organizations, Welcome Week, and Fraternity and Sorority Life. Through the SLIC, you can get connected to over 140 Student Organizations, Associated Students, Torero Program Board, Fraternity and Sorority Life. The SLIC also provides resources for event planning and leadership trainings on how to better lead a group and affect change. Areas such as the Creative Zone and Student Involvement and Information Desk can help with marketing, team building, event planning support and involvement opportunities. Finally, for all Faculty/Staff/Administrator advisors, use the SLIC's Advisor resources to help enhance and enrich the student leader experience.

The Student Leadership and Involvement Center has developed a new leadership opportunity for spring 2014 for a group of 15-18, which will be called the Leadership Fellows. As part of this new effort, we are looking to involve "rising star" students, preferably students who are not currently involved in positional leadership/formal leadership roles. Through a structured experience over the course of 8 meetings during the spring semester, students will enhance their leadership and provide feedback, which will shape future programs and initiatives. We are looking for students who would be described as having the potential to change the campus and the world for the better. These students hold few or no formal leadership positions, such as a student organization officer. Additionally, we seek students who are looking to deepen their involvement and may still be searching for an area to invest their time and involvement efforts.
Nominations of students for the Leadership Fellows Program should be sent to Jason Fitzer email@example.com by December 18th at 12:00 pm.

Recognizing that learning exists throughout involvement opportunities, the Student Leadership and Involvement Center (SLIC) has established Student Learning Objectives (SLOs). SLOs are used to facilitate student learning and development, which will be accomplished through a variety of programs and services offered through the SLIC.
The following SLOs are intended to represent opportunities for student learning and growth following their engagement and experiences.
