FRESH@USD:
Finding Resources Enhancing Success and Health at USD
The FRESH@USD program offers over 35 sessions designed specifically to assist first-year students with the transition to college. New USD first-year students will have the opportunity to attend sessions of their choosing during their first fall semester in college. Students will be required to pre-register online for each session they plan to attend up to two weeks in advance and as late as noon the day before the session if space permits. To pre-register for a session, click here.
Session topics cover the gamut of issues that new first-year students are likely to encounter, including faculty expectations, time management, study skills, places to go and things to do in San Diego, choosing a major, health and safety at college, and the unique history and character of USD. Typically sessions last no longer than one hour.
First-year students will receive a complete schedule of the sessions from their preceptor (professor for preceptorial academic course) when classes begin. To download a complete schedule, click here.
NEW THIS YEAR: There will be three FRESH@USD Conferences students will be invited to attend. Three sessions will be offered simultaneously for students to pick from both at 7 pm and 8 pm. This is a great opportunity to attend two sessions in one night! Snacks and drinks will be provided. Check in at UC Forum B to find out the locations of this month's conference sessions:
- Faculty 411
- Best Kept Secrets
- I Need Some Space!
