Current Offerings
Lean Certificate (5 days)
The Lean program teaches students Lean tools and techniques that can include dramatically improve your organization by removing non-value added activities while improving your cycle-time, products costs, and reducing inventory reduction. Some of the topics include 5S, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, Kanban, and Kaizen. The integrated learning environment provides participants hands-on practice using the tools in a real life scenario.
Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate (10 days)
The Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate program teaches the Six Sigma philosophies and principles. Students are taught the basic tools and techniques and how to complete a project using the DMAIC model in accordance with Six Sigma principles. The certificate program follows the ASQ “Body of Knowledge” for the Six Sigma Green Belt.
Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate (20 days)
The Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate program teaches the Six Sigma philosophies and principles, including the supporting systems and tools. Students are taught the basic tools and techniques as well as advance methods in order to successfully launch a project, develop and transition it from phase to phase, and finally, how to complete a project and evaluate its success. In addition, participants develop team leadership skills and understands all aspects of the DMAIC model in accordance with Six Sigma principles. The certificate program follows the ASQ “Body of Knowledge” for the Six Sigma Black Belt.
Master Black Belt Certificate (18 days)
Master Black Belts (MBB) are individuals who possess the highest level of Six Sigma expertise and knowledge of current industry practice. A MBB has technical and leadership skills with a strong commitment to the practice and advancement of quality and improvement. The University of San Diego (USD) has developed a dynamic program to meet these needs and provides participants with the necessary skills for leading a company in a Quality Improvement initiative. In addition, our MBB Certificate Program is modeled after the ASQ MBB Certificate and prepares each participant for their application process and exam.
