Why can't I drop my Intersession course online?

The Banner registration system will not permit you to drop your class online.  You will have to go to One Stop if you change your mind or want to withdraw from Intersession. Please choose your class wisely.

Can I take a class Pass/Fail?
If the conditions set out in the 2012-2014 Undergraduate Catalog are met. You must obtain your advisor's signature.

How and when can I register for Intersession?
You can register during Online Registration from October 1 - 30 based on units completed as of August 31. Please see the eligibility dates link to the right. You must clear any and all holds before registering.

How can I add/drop a class after online registration is closed?
You must go to the One Stop Student Center and submit an Add/Drop form. For adds, tuition check must be presented at time of registration. Drops will be processed according to the Refund schedule.

How many units can I take during Intersession?
You may register for a maximum of 4 units. If more units are necessary, you may request an Appeal for Overload form available at the One Stop Student Center, have it signed by your advisor and Dean, and return it to the Summer and Intersession Office, Founders Hall 117.

How do I get on a wait list if my preferred class is full?
Wait lists are kept in Banner registration system during the four week online registration period. After that time, you can come to the Summer and Intersession Office starting Friday, November 1 at 8:30 a.m. to get on the wait list.  Wait lists are first-come, first-served.

How much is tuition?
Tuition rates depend on your enrollment status; one unit is $1,410.  Please click on "Link" to the right.

When is tuition due?
Tuition for courses reserved using Online Registration is due November 15.  Tuition is due at the time of walk-in registration.

How do I pay for my Intersession class?
Tuition must be paid in full by check at the One Stop student Center.  Students may also pay by electronic check using EPay.  If using Financial Aid, you must have already applied for aid through the MySanDiego Portal and received and accepted your awards.

How do I apply for Financial Aid?
Applications will be available on the One Stop Services Tab of the MySanDiego portal in the "My Financial Aid" channel

Can you bill the person financially responsible for my Intersession class?
No, that is not possible and there are no payment plans available for Intersession. Tuition must be paid in full by November 15 if you use Online registration or at the time of walk-in registration.

Can I get a refund if I don’t take the class I signed up for?
Only if you officially drop with the One Stop Student Center, then refunds are at the applicable rate as published in the catalog.  If you fail to attend a class you’ve registered for and do not officially drop, you will be charged for the class and receive an “F” on your transcript.

Can I live on campus during Intersession?
On-campus housing is available. Click on "Link" to the right for the application. Housing is limited, apply early.

Can I get a meal plan during Intersession?
Meal plans are not available, however, CampusCash cards may be used.
