This course examines philosophical, sociological, and historical foundations of multicultural education. Issues related to the education of diverse learners in a global society will also be explored. The research on multicultural and multiethnic education will be evaluated in light of current school reform movements. Community service-learning is required. This class is cross-listed with EDUC 581C. Limit 5
