Links to Class Schedule

Find classes moved to new system

The find classes and class schedule/roster pages have been replaced by the new class schedule system. From Fall 2008 on, all new semesters will appear in the My.SanDiego portal. The old pages will be removed during the Fall 2008 semester.

Links to Class Schedule

The Easy Way

The easiest way to link to the class schedule is to perform your search, and then look at the bottom of the page for the “Link This Result” link. Copy that link and you can then paste it into your web page editor.

Copy URLs by holding the mouse button down over the link on the Macintosh, or using the right mouse button on Windows.

The Hard Way

You can link to the class schedules for your department, or for yourself, by including special commands in the URL. The basic URL is:

http://www.sandiego.edu/search/classes/sched.php?

You tell ‘sched.php’ what information you want by putting the request after the question mark, in the form “whatIwant=searchterm”. If you want all the classes in Biology, you would use ‘department=biol’. For example:

http://www.sandiego.edu/search/classes/sched.php?department=biol

You can also specify location (classroom), instructor, or class (course name). Location, instructor, and department use the official abbreviation. (While the instructor abbreviation is probably not official, the name as abbreviated in the course catalog is how we receive our data, so that abbreviation is used.)

In order to specify more than one item, you use the ampersand (&) symbol between items:

http://www.sandiego.edu/search/classes/sched.php?department=comp&instructor=liao
